What Practice Lantern is
Practice Lantern, operated by TechCleanup, Inc., provides website hosting, a content management interface, and software assistants for healthcare practices. It is a website platform. It is not a medical record system, a patient communication channel, or a legal or marketing advisory service.
No patient information
The platform is designed so that no protected health information is collected, stored or transmitted by it. Patient enquiries are handled by a third-party secure-form provider under an agreement between that provider and your practice. You agree not to place protected health information into any part of the platform, including blog posts, pages, images or support requests.
Your content and your responsibility
You own everything you publish. You are responsible for its accuracy and for compliance with the laws and professional rules that apply to you, including advertising rules of your licensing board, HIPAA, state medical-privacy law, and accessibility law. The platform's checklists and assistants explain rules we understand to apply; they are not legal advice, and we are not your attorney.
The assistants
Software assistants propose designs, edits and page structures inside fixed templates for your approval. Nothing they produce is published without your action. You review everything before it goes live, and you remain responsible for it.
Search and answer-engine features
Features that surface search opportunities rely on third-party data sources and estimates. We make no guarantee of rankings, traffic, citations, or new patients.
Trials, billing and cancellation
Every plan begins with a free trial of the stated length. A payment method is collected when the trial starts and is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for your plan until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Leaving
You may export your posts and pages at any time. If you cancel, your site remains available for export for 30 days, after which it is deleted.
Acceptable use
No unlawful content, no content that impersonates another practitioner, no attempts to access another practice's data, and no use of the platform to store information you are not permitted to store there.
Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may change features with notice, and these terms with 30 days' notice by email.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechCleanup, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
